Vohiboanjo Primary School was built in 1978. Before it was destroyed by Cyclone Batsirai in February 2022, it was used to educate over 400 students from Vohiboanjo and the surrounding area. Now that the school is destroyed it is necessary to rebuild 6 classrooms.
Feedback Madagascar, is undertaking this task and we estimate €20,524 for the reconstruction.
All the villagers are ready and very motivated to provide the labor and the NGO will take care of buying the materials at the best price, the logistics to bring them here (it is the villagers who will carry all the materials on their backs of man on the last 20 km because the 4x4 tracks and the bridges are destroyed). It will also monitor the work and take charge of the school canteen so that each student can have a guaranteed meal every day (which it already does with more than 80,000 students daily).
You have the opportunity to allow the reconstruction of this school and offer a future to these children who have the fierce desire to learn to read, write and count and allow teachers to pass on their knowledge.
