Antoebe Primary School, located near the forest in the Ambohimahamasina municipality, had just one classroom for over 90 pupils. They used an adjacent church as an additional temporary classroom. At the end of 2021, the parent’s association and teachers decided to build an additional school building with two classrooms to supply enough space for all students to be taught at the same time. The work was almost finished in early February 2022 when Cyclone Batsirai hit Madagascar, destroying the new school building, and causing devastation and shattered livelihoods. Open here to see how you can help. Faced with this situation, the parents decided to rebuild a new building again but lacked funds for materials. So the community asked for help from the church and from Feedback Madagascar. Now, the rebuild is totally finished and the new building is bringing full-time education to the children in this community. |
